Africa Youth Trust [ AYT ]
Africa Youth Trust is a youth serving organization that seeks to harness the productive energies of youth towards peace, equity and prosperity within and across communities in Africa and envisions a developed and well governed Africa drawing on the energies of all her children.
As part of its core programs, AYT operates from a right based approach to development and participation and seeks to ensure that gender mainstreaming is achieved. AYT recognizes that it is only through the observance and respect for human rights and practice of democratic governance that the lives of people can be improved.
The need to enhance the women’s participation and equal and meaningful participation of both women and men to ensure sustainable development is dire. It is against this background that AYT has committed towards empowering women and ensuring equality among women and men by ensuring effective gender mainstreaming within the aspects of human rights and good governance and offering capacity building trainings that are geared for women in the various institutions that work towards addressing development.

Raoul Wallenberg Institute [ RWI ]
The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law was founded in 1984 and is an independent academic institution situated in Lund, Sweden. The Institute is named after Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat, to pay homage to his courageous humanitarian work in Hungary during the end of the Second World War.
The mission of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute is to promote universal respect for human rights and humanitarian law, by means of research, academic education, dissemination and institutional development. The vision is to be Centre of excellence, meeting the highest international standards in all its fields of operation.
Since the early 1990s and with financial support from SIDA, the Raoul Wallenberg Institute has arranged human rights training programmes for professionals and offers institutional support to a wide range of human rights institutions in developing countries. In conjunction with Brill Academic Publishers, the Raoul Wallenberg Institute publishes a range of human rights literature.

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency [ SIDA ]
The Equal Status and Human Rights of Women in East Africa (EAHUWO) is an East African based program that seeks to improve the knowledge of international human rights standards, in particular those related to equality and non-discrimination among professionals working with the human rights of women in order to contribute to the enhancement of gender equality throughout the Eastern African Region.
The program is run by the Africa Youth Trust (AYT) in partnership with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI) with sponsorship from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
