Making Agenda 4 A Reality for the Kenyan Youth Advocacy Activities
AYT is currently implementing a programme with the title “Making Agenda 4 a Reality for Kenyan Youth.”This project focuses on Agenda 4 of the National Accord and Reconciliation Act (NARA) with specific emphasis on the issue of unemployment especially amongst the youth. It aims at entrenching youth participation and engagement in the implementation of the youth-focused reform agenda on employment as outlined under Agenda 4 of NARA.
As a follow up to the community assessment forums held earlier on, AYT will conduct advocacy activities in 8 provinces in Kenya. The objectives of the advocacy meetings shall be increased facilitation of youth employment through active engagement with policy makers and effective auditing of current youth employment initiatives in Kenya.
The activity shall target policy makers and youth stakeholders since they are in a better position to influence policy and law making in the highlighted areas related to youth employment. The one day forums will be held in all 8 provinces between 15th and 28th February 2012.
