Development Effectiveness

AYT has formed a Youth Reference Group for Development Effectiveness which comprises youth organizations from East and Southern Africa. In May 2016, AYT brought together representatives of this reference group and conducted a capacity building workshop in Nairobi. They now serve as trainers on the concept of Aid and Development effectiveness and are committed to ensuring domestication of the development effectiveness agenda in their respective countries. The youth reference group is also tasked with monitoring and advocating for involvement of youth in the development effectiveness agenda in Africa.

The youth reference group for development effectiveness are currently involved in the preparation of the Global Partnership for effective Development Cooperation High Level Meeting 2 (HLM 2) that will be held in Nairobi in November 2016.
